This is book 1 in the East Coast Series of interconnected standalones.
My new neighbor is a jerk. Sure, he’s the embodiment of tall, dark, and handsome, and he looks like he could crush a watermelon between his muscular thighs. But he has managed to become enemy number one within the first forty-eight hours of moving into the apartment next door.
I may have retaliated and escalated the situation. I’m not above being petty, and I’m determined to make him break first.
Until he sees my cheating ex-boyfriend giving me a hard time outside our building and steps in to help. If it weren’t for the pictures in the press the next morning, I would’ve assumed his act of kindness was just a fever dream. But my face is everywhere—labeled as hockey star Trenton Ward’s new girlfriend.
Now, my grumpy neighbor’s agent wants to run with this story. Apparently, his image needs some sprucing. (I can’t imagine why with such a charming personality.) I agree under one circumstance: I get to use him for inspiration in the new romance book I’m working on.
I swear I meant it in the figurative sense when I signed the contract.
But after a few fake dates and a toe-curling kiss, Trenton turns into my experimental guinea pig for all my spicy scenes. I may be fake dating one of the NHL’s best goalies, but out of all the things we do, faking it is not one of them.
Only, falling in love wasn’t in the fine print.

what can I say - it’s under 200 pages it’s a Hockey romance and it’s about a smut author. We love.
I am normally a dark romance girly but there are times when you just need a fluffy Romance and this was one of those times and it was amazing. I could not have asked for any better. I do think Trenton and Cassidy we're endgame from the start. I was a little worried at first when her parents came into the picture but I could not have written that scene any better myself I had tried.
I don't know what took me so long to start this series, but I'm so glad I did. This book was so so romantic. My absolute favorite part is how outspoken the two main characters are with each other, especially Cassidy, the FMC. Even though they're nervous to share their feelings, there are certain things that in real life most people, myself included, would be fearful to express to someone else, but both of these characters are dying to hear exactly what the other thinks and they both provide that to one another with ease. I found that so inspiring. Such a fun and shamelessly spicy read!
This is my first book by this author, and I really enjoyed this sweet & steamy romance. Trenton is an NHL player who was traded due to his cheating ex fiancé sleeping with his best friend, and he is now Cassidy's grumpy new neighbor. Cassidy is a romance author who has writers block due to her cheating ex-boyfriend. Can they keep from killing each other long enough to look like they are in a fake relationship. Their story is a great enemies to friends to lovers. Trenton is definitely a book boyfriend to swoon over. He's sweet, but his bedroom talk is off the charts hot. If you love fake dating, hockey, and laugh out loud banter, then you don't want to miss out on this great book.
Ahhhh!! Trent and Cassidy were so much fun! Trent just got traded and he is not happy about it. Cassidy is in a writing slump after walking in on her (now ex) boyfriend cheating on her with her best friend. And now these two people who are not in the best place... are neighbors. Cassidy tried to be nice to Trent when he moved in but all he does is slam doors and she was not having it. One day she is having some trouble outside of their apartment building and Trent steps into help. The paparazzi catches this and now their pictures are everywhere with the headlines saying that they're dating?! Trent's agent wants to run with it, and Cassidy agrees... under one condition. She is allowed to use him and their situation as inspiration to help her get out of her writing slump and finally write books again. Since Trent needs the good press, they all agree. As lines start to blur between what is to help Trent's image and what's to help with Cassidy's writing, neither of them know how to approach it. They've both just been burned by people they thought they could trust. I loved Trent and Cassidy! I thought they were such a good match and so entertaining. The grump x sunshine was so well done. Seeing Trent soften and become protective of Cassidy was everything! I loved how much they supported one another and how their connection grew so naturally.
