A second chance romcom standalone.
They say you never forget your first love. Clearly, they haven’t tried hard enough. I’ve spent five years forgetting about Christopher Hastings.
His gentle touch? A distant memory.
Those gorgeous hazel eyes? Long gone.
The sparks that flew when we kissed? Wiped from my mind.
Now my life is going exactly the way I want it to. I landed a teaching job at my old elementary school. I’m happy again. Everything’s perfect.
Imagine my surprise when I find out my school’s gym teacher is none other than Christopher Hastings.
Cue panic attack.
But it doesn’t matter how good he fills out those basketball shorts—I’ve moved on. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. If only my heart would get the memo.
They say you never forget your first love, and it looks like Christopher is determined to make sure I never forget mine.

So sweet! He broke her heart in college and she's now engaged, but when they meet again, sparks fly again. I liked the inclusion of disabilities with his nephew having CP. Both main characters also lost their Moms which always makes me sad but added another layer beyond romance into the book and their actions. I just wish the time hope wasn't 5 years - with the book not even being 200 pages, I feel like they could've added 50 pages instead and had less of a time hop to the end instead of the abrupt ending. It was still a good book though!
Sweet story about love, forgiveness, and listening to your inner B! I started reading the paperback, but it got dark, and I was happy to find it on KU so I could stay up until I finished. I just couldn’t put it down.
Sweet second chance with all those heart-warming moments. Loved the family banter and the relationship between Aiden and Christopher. Loved the cameos from Jaxon and Raegan too.
This is by far my favorite second chance romance I’ve ever read. I have to say that going into this book I thought it was a rom-com like “Hating the boss” but it most definitely isn’t all laughter. This book touches on some heavy things and I might of cried 4 times reading this book. 🙈 I think I’m just extra emotional right now but still it really touched me. Especially Aiden! I love that kid so much! Christopher had my heart from the beginning even when you are mad at his life choices you knew he only had Michelle’s best internet at heart. I seriously didn’t want this book to end 😭 The disability rep in this book is so so good, just like all her other books. This book pulled at my heartstrings so much but it also had me laughing too. If you haven’t read this one yet definitely add it to your TBR! It’s super underrated and I don’t know why. This book deserves so much more love. I only have one more Kristen Granata to read and then I have read her whole back list. I’m super sad about it and need her to release more books stat!
Another good book with a great ending!! This touched my heart and made me so happy!! I love how I can never put these books down
